Nandi Hills' luxury golf resort — Bangalore's escape into championship greens

J

Marriott International / Prestige Group

Founder · Est. 2014 · Nandi Hills (on outskirts), Bangalore

The JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa occupies a position near the Nandi Hills — approximately an hour from central Bangalore — on a property that includes a championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer Design Company. The resort brought luxury resort hospitality to Bangalore's northern outskirts, providing the city's first truly resort-scale escape within driving distance.

The golf course is the property's anchor amenity: 18 holes designed by one of golf's most legendary names, maintained at championship standards, and set against the Nandi Hills landscape that provides both elevation and views. The resort's spa, multiple pools, and dining programme complete a property that functions as a self-contained luxury destination.

The resort serves Bangalore's corporate and leisure markets simultaneously: corporate retreats and team-building events during the week, family getaways and golf weekends at the close. The combination of championship golf, luxury accommodation, and proximity to Bangalore has made it the city's default resort address.

The Experience

The drive from Bangalore transitions from urban density to green landscape — by the time you reach the resort, the city is an hour behind. The golf course spreads out in front of you. The rooms face the greens. The spa is large. The pace is fundamentally different from anything in the city.

  • The Arnold Palmer-designed golf course is the property's primary differentiator in the Bangalore market.
  • The 1-hour distance from central Bangalore positions the resort as a weekend escape rather than a city hotel.
  • Corporate retreat and MICE business complements the leisure positioning.
  • Recommended for hospitality students studying golf resort operations and urban-escape resort concepts.
